The Whole of Life

This is probably the first serious poem, I've probably ever written. I had to write a poem for my Humanities class. It turned out rather good, so I'm sharing with you :] Let me know what you think, and if anyone has a better title, I would LOVE that! Thanks for reading!

Life is but a vapor, an elusive mist
Yet still we are told to persist
Life cannot be without reason
We are told to trust in every season

But in what are we to trust
Things that corrode and rust?
No, no we must trust in our Creator
We cannot wait ‘til later

We must seek first the kingdom and the king
For everything else is but a fling
It may not make sense to finite brains
But, yes, it is he who reigns

To surrender it all, we then find our worth
First comes death, then the birth
We are free to devote our lives in service
Christ is at your side, be not nervous

Love conquers all, even the grave
And he says, “Go into the world and be brave”
With perseverance ye shall run
To a broken world to share the love of the Son
